Everyone,
They gave us a few minutes to write to tell you all that I am alive. There are 12 of us in my district, and my companion is Elder Baadsgaard. He is from Spanish Fork, and knows the Birds. We have 2 rooms in the corner of the building, and all of us get along really well. One elder will come tomorrow, so right know we only have 11 with us. My P-Day is Wednesday, so that is when you will get the full report.

Everyone,
This week has been amazing and crazy. I started out on Wednesday at 1 pm. Within half an hour of arriving I was in my danish class learning how introduce myself. Everything that we have practiced at home sounds nothing like the real language. We have three amazing teachers. Brother Williamson who served five years ago, Sister Paulson who is from Denmark, and Brother Casper who served in Iceland 2 years ago. They are all really nice, and have helped us to understand their instructions without speaking English.
Thursday was one of the best days. That morning in class we were taught how to greet someone, and then we learned how to bear our testimonies in Dansk. after the lesson Sister Paulson said that we could now speak Dansk, and we hadn't been in the MTC for more than 24 hours. This was a real testimony builder because after the first hour on Wednesday none of us were very confident in our abilities. Since then I have taught 4 discussions in Dansk to our investigator Hans Eric. He is so kind, and always has a smile on his face even when our Dansk is really bad.
The twelve of us going to Denmark are getting along great. During our gym time we play volleyball. Everyone has about equal skill, so it is really fun. Our goal is to become really good by the end of our six weeks. There are 6 in each room, and it is very crowded. There isn't much personal space, but that has brought us closer together as a group. Brother Williamson says that we act like a blue whale swimming in a deep ocean. Almost everything we do is together as one big group.
I thought that the kids would like to know how my day goes. We are up at 6:20 in the morning, and dress in our gym clothes. By 6:35 we are in the sack breakfast line, and then return to our apartment for personal study time until 8:20. We head to the gym until 9:20 then run back to our apartment to quickly shower and dress so that we can be to class by 9:50. Most of our day is spent in the classroom. Accept for Sundays and Tuesdays we stay there until 9:30 at night. We do get 40 minute breaks for lunch at 12:50 and dinner at 5:45. Hopefully everyone at home can understand.
Some of the funny things that have happened. My companion Elder Baadsgaard has never done a load of laundry. His mom taught him how to, but he has never personally done one. Most of the guys in our group are tired of the food, and have resorted to wraps for 2 of the 3 meals. We hope that they don't get tired of them to soon because there next resort is the cereal. (One Elder is already on it)
I hope that all of you are doing really well. I miss all of you.
AEldste Francis
