Bring on the snow! All day Saturday and Sunday it snowed on us. In most areas there is 20 centimeters, and the highest is about 40 centimeters. Elder Halversen and I have had so much fun with it, and everything looks like a winter wonderland.

This week we taught Anne-Marie. She is an older lady who has been reading the Book of Mormon. We answered her question as best we could on Alma 33. We then asked her if she is interested in family history. She got very excited, and brought our an ancient looking box. It looked like a treasure chest except it didn't have a lock on it. Inside were three or four books she had made on her family. We are excited this week to show her family search, and how she can enter in the data.
Helsingør came down with us on Thursday, and we did service for one of the members. We pulled out bushes for them, and took down an old fence. it didn't take us very long, so we were pretty happy with ourselves. The wife came out, and said that they needed fence posts dug for a new fence. This didn't seem to hard until we started. They needed to be 90 centimeters deep which we thought would be easy. 30 centimenters down we hit clay filled with rocks. Further down water started seeping into the hole, and it started to rain. This is kindof like our mission work here in Denmark. You start work, and everything goes really well. It gets harder and harder until you feel like giving up. After a bit you finish, and you forget about all the bad things.

Friday was one of the best days for us. Our appointment with Eduardo fell through which was really disappointing. Outside we prayed, and had the idea to visit Johan. After biking to his house he rode up right when we got there. He had been gathering pine boughs to put around the roses. Apparently that keeps them from freezing. He let us in, and showed us part of his coin collection. It was very interesting seeing all of the old Danish coins. He even had an old ring box full of American pennies and quarters. I asked him about family history work. He started telling us all sorts of stories about his past, and his ancestors. He lived in New Jersey when he was younger. He made 20 dollars his first day as a delivery boy at a supermarket, 13 was in tips. We will be going back this week to show him the website, and how he can find his family.
Saturday we had one of the best contacts while knocking. An older couple answered the second door, and gave us a refferal for a house down the street. We tried the house, and a really nice guy answered. After hearing who we were he was very happy to see us. He said that he had family in Oregon who were members of our church, and that he wanted to know more. We will be going by this week to talk with them again, and learn more.

Church this week was very stressful for us, but by the end it was a very special experience. Saturday night we got a call saying that someone had broken into the church, and that we should dress warm for Sunday. The ward would be having someone come onMonday to repair the damage becasue they didn't want anyone to fix it on Sunday. Sunday morning we woke up to lots of snow outside our apartment. We recieved three phone calls saying that the buses weren't running, and that church would be canceled. It had snowed a little more than what we could see from our basement window. During our normal studies Brother Andersen came downstairs, and said that he would drive us to the church. We got to the building about the same time normal church would have started. The bishop and 2 other members were there. The bishop had service clothes on which was a little odd. I played the piano and passed the Sacrament, and Brother Andersen conducted and gave a spiritual thought. It was different with only 6 people there, but the spirit was still present as we worshiped together.
