Everyone,
This week has been one of the best since I have been on a mission. We hit 6 other lessons, 3 progressing, and 2 new investigators. Elder Shuppy and I are trying really hard to use everything that we have been given, and it is starting to pay off.

Henriette is probably are most positive investigator now. After canceling twice on us she let us come back on Thursday. She has a strong desire to do what is right, and was excited to receive a Mormons Bog. We had a short lesson on Frelsesplanen with her, and she really enjoyed it. This week she is committed to start reading and praying. We are so excited for her, and hope to invite her to church this Sunday.

There was a potential investigator that we had named G. He is Romanian, and speaks really good English. He said that we couldn't meet at his apartment, but that he would pick us up because he knew of a spot where we could meet. He drove us to the beach by the tip of Danmark. It was really windy and cold, but we had an incredible gospel discussion. He really wants to turn his life around, and find friends who don't do drugs. Next week we will take a member with, and invite him to church.
While knocking in Skagen we met a really nice gentleman. He wasn't very religious, but was willing to listen. As the end he said that when his time came God would help him find the truth. We tried several times, but he didn't want us to come back. We felt so sad for him because inside we were screaming that his time was now, and his chance was here.

Even in the face of that rejection we got a miracle. Several doors later Mette answered. She just moved in to Skagen, and is the typical Dane when it comes to religion. She does have faith in God, and believes in him. I felt prompted to give her a Mormons Bog, and she accepted it. Our return appointment is next week, and we are planning on teaching the Restoration with her.

We visited Paul Nielsen in Frederikshavn. He is an inactive, and hasn't been to church since Elder Shuppy has been here. We gave a lesson on King Lamoni's father, and his faith to act. It was great, and we both bore testimony of the gospel. One thing that is interesting is that he has over 500 cactuses in his apartment. He showed them to us, and I was amazed that people have cactus collecting as a hobby. He has two little dogs, and I wondered how often he pulls cactus needles out of their tails.

Stake conference was in Århus yesterday. It was in a large music hall in the center of town. All of the speakers did a great job, and they talked about all the basic gospel principles. Afterwards everyone met at the stake center for lunch. Everyone had packed lunches, and the stake provided fruit and saft. It is a little different when you have to travel two hours for stake conference.

Heavenly Father is in the work here. We are learning to give up everything that we can, so that the work can move forward. Thank you for your fun emails and letters.
Ældste Francis
