We had a fun Mother's Day Skype call with Ben on Sunday, May 8th. He couldn't believe how big Nico is! He also told us that their area is taking off and he loves it there. We met his companion, Elder Shuppy, and the couple missionaries in the branch. He spoke in Danish for us. Ben was happy, bright, and we all cried after we hung up!

We had lots of fun this week here in Frederikshavn. Splits was in Aalborg, and I spent the day with Elder Williams. The weather was amazing as we contacted, knocked, and did stop bys. Their area is on the other side of the fjord from their apartment. There were lots of boats out, and we were able to see the bridges go up to allow a sail boat through. We felt really sad when we came home because it was just the two of us again.
Micheal is doing great. We feel that we had hit a brick wall with him, but we felt inspired to teach the Book of Mormon again. Well miracles really do happen, and the spirit was incredible. He is committed to read every day, and wants to start from the beginning. He also expressed his desire to come to church again.

We were knocking in a upgang, and nothing was working out. It was to the point that you really don't want to do any more. We took a break, and evaluated. Two doors into it after that this older lady answered. She knew immediantly who we were, and knew about Joseph Smith. She started saying that she was having a Bible Study in her home right then, and asked us what was the way to salvation. Elder Shuppy said Jesus Christ, and she had a shocked look on her face. She seemed surprised that that was our answer. She agreed with that, and then Elder Shuppy blurted out if we could come join their Bible group. She said yes, so we will meet with them today if all goes well.

Last week we talked to a mom in Hjørring whose son reads the Bible. This week we stopped by again, and met both parents but not the son. The mom had done some research about our church, and was fine with everything she had read. We don't know what site she had been on, but we referred her tolds.org. Both parents are fine with us coming back, and we are excited to meet with them soon.

We had a fun meeting with Meratu. He showed us how to eat some African food that he had made. Our lesson was on Jesus Christ, and we were able to communicate fairly well. It is still a language barrier, but he seems to understand what we are teaching. He wants to come back to church sometime, but the language is his biggest problem. We will see where it goes.

One day we decided to spend time in Sæbø. We had two miracles there. Both times we were led to homes where we had wonderful gospel conversations. We gave out a Mormons Bog, and a Mormon.org card. They are really big successes for us because knocking there was really hard. We were speaking Danish with one lady when she starting to struggle with a word. I asked where she was from, and she said England. The conversation then switched to English, and for me contacts go quite a bit better when they are in with native English speakers.

Sunday was a fun day. After a musical number by some of the primary children, they handed out flowers to all to moms there. They were big roses, and the ends had a little tube with water in it. That was fun to see. After our eating appointment we skyped home. It was a little sad, but we are back to work already. This next week we are planning on seeing as many of our investigators as we can, and also find new ones.
