3 Nephi 7:18‏ - May 23, 2016

Last time with my companion, Elder Shuppy
18 And it came to pass that they were angry with him, even because he had greater power than they, for it werenot possible that they could disbelieve his words, for so great was his faith on the Lord Jesus Christ that angels did minister unto him daily.

Fun church in Aalborg
Everyone,

Well, it was a whirl wind last week with everything that happened. The biggest part was transfers. Elder Shuppy and I had to travel to Aalborg, so he could catch his train Tuesday morning. Elder Murphy was leaving as well, so we didn't get to bed until about 11:30 Monday night. We got up early, and took a quite run to get Elder Shuppy's bike from the station. Then the rest of the day was crazy. After getting to the station we found out that there were tog buses on Fynn. That means that instead of a train you have to take the bus during that section. Transfers were moved to Tuesday in order to avoid this, but the work wasn't done yet. The train was already booked, so the conductor said that they would take the bikes to Aarhus, but not any further. Because of the tog buses Elder Olson came in on a later train, and I missed. He ended up traveling from Frederiacia to Frederikshavn by himself, but luckily the Blackhams were able to meet him there. I took the train from Aalborg, and after a few delays finally made it to Frederikshavn safely.

Elder Olson was in my MTC group, so it has been great to work with him. He is from Sandy, Utah. He has taught me a lot, and we have done some great work together already.

Michael was this week. Tage came with us. Our lesson was on the Holy Ghost. He seemed to listen, and start to understand what we were saying. It is really hard sometimes clearly say what you want in another language. He said that he has started reading from the beginning of Mormons Bog which is great.

We taught Malene this week with the Blackhams. They were so helpful, and our lesson was on finding answers, and praying to know the truth. She has been reading and praying, and is now in 2 Nephi which is great.

The ward choir
Last Friday we had a spring choir concert. The ward choir sang, and so did another choir which our director directs. It is made up of Grandmas and Grandpas, and I think the average age is 70. They sang some wonderful songs, and were very nice to us. We had planned on having one investigator there, Malene, and a member was able to bring her. A few minutes before it started Pernille walked in which was amazing. Of all our investigators we didn't expect her to come, but she did. She loved to concert, and said that she would miss Elder Shuppy. After it started Mehratu walked in as well. He didn't understand it all, but said that it was great.

Saturday was our Skagen day. We stopped by a potential, Rasmus, that I mentioned a few emails ago. He let us in, and we had a great conversation. He couldn't believe that we were missionaries from the US, and that we put our lives on hold for two years. We hope to teach his family soon because they are amazing.

Jesper is still doing great. He told us that he would come to church, but when it started he hadn't showed up. After it had started he walked in, and it was such a blessing. Hans Christian and Jacob are two members who really talked to him, and he ended up staying for all three hours and fælles spisning. During guest class he asked how he could become a member of our church. He really has a desire to be better, and become a member.

I got a fun card from Abby Lou's baptism. It made me so happy to see her. Have a wonderful week.

Ældste Francis
