Everyone,

This week has been a whirlwind with lots of fun things happening. We had zone conference in Århus this week with everyone on Fynn and Jylland. It was a great time, and I was able to see almost everyone from my MTC district there. Sadly, two of our group are on Sjælland now. After we had our trainings we did our waffel bowl. The mission leadership decided that we wouldn't hold a Thanksgiving zone conference, so the annual turkey bowl was moved to May.

Zone Conference

We taught Malene this week. She asked us what she needs to do to be baptized, so we went over some of the commandments we had taught her. She was confused on the difference between a prayer and a testimony, so we answered that for her as well. She came to church this week, but we don't know how much she listened to. Several people have expressed concerns about why she is investigationg, so this week we made a plan to do operation asses situation. We have to find out how interested she really is in learning about the church.

Skagen with Elder Olsen

Jesper is amazing. He is friends now with Jacob in the ward, and is really gaining a testimony. He believes in Mormons Bog, and for guest class recounted the entire first vision including the part of the power trying to over come Joseph. He is asking great doctrinal questions, and praying and reading in Mormons Bog. This week we hope to teach him about the Atonement to help resolve a few of his concerns.

Skagen

Last week we finally got back in contact with Henriette. She let us teach her this week, and it was wonderful. We read the intro to Mormons Bog with her, and the spirit was so strong. We have a return appointment this week with her, and hope to review Frelsesplanen with her.

Lots of tourists are here for the summer time. We met two people from Tyskland while contacting. Yesterday we met a man from the Philipines. He is a fisherman, and his boat was here for repairs. We had a great gospel discussion with him about Christ, and what makes our church different. After he left Elder Olson made the comment about how open he was to us compared to our normal contacts.

Goodbyes

The Blackhams are now gone. It is really sad for us here. They have been wonderful friends and in a sense grandparents for us. Church was different because they weren't there to great us when we came.

Service Project

Saturday was very interesting. We did a service project for Hans Christian. The whole apartment complex was repainting the garages. When we arrived everyone was arguing about the paint color. Everyone seemed to think that they had the right idea of what color they should be. The guy who won liked gray, and the only reason he won was because he was assigned to buy the paint. The parts we were painting were originally dark blue. The gray over the dark blue didn't look that great, but we tried our best with the circumstances.

Branch Party

While coming home from Skagen that night on the train several Swedish people got on. One was originally from Poland, and we talked with him about God and our purpose in life. His thoughts were that our purpose is to one day become like God. At the end he accepted a mormon.org card. They were drinking a lot, and one guy asked if we liked Trump. after a few seconds Elder Olson turns to him and says he loves Trump. They all cheered when they heard that. It was an interesting experience, and I am grateful that neither of us got hurt.
