Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
Everyone,
We have worked really hard this whole week. Everynight we come back home really tired. Almost every day we have had to walk several kilometers, and run for at least one bus. Elder Pike is a great companion. He is from Bluffdale, Utah, and is the oldest of three kids. He has taught me a lot about mission work including all of the paperwork.
This week we spent several hours going through old records. One of them had a street name and the person's first name, and that was it. You would think that missionaries would write someone's complete address down. We have quite a stack of people that we can't find, so we made a dead file for those. Heavenly Father has really started to bless us as we have cleaned up the records.
Martin was happy to see us this week. We decided to teach him about how to pray becasue it didn't quite work the time before. The spirit was really strong, and by the end of the lesson he practised it once. We are both really happy for him, and hope that he will remember this lesson. He expressed gratitude for the Liahona we gave him. It was the Novermber 2015, and he said he loves reading the talks in it.
Service this week was really odd. we helped move a family in Græsted. They had a trailer with their stuff in it except there was one problem. We couldn't drive, and no one knew how to back up with a trailer. Everytime that they had to back up we had to unhook the trailer and wait for them to make a seven point turn before we put it back on. They had told us that it would be one hour, but due to this difficulty it ended up being two. The building we were in had massive locks on all the doors. We found out that others in the building will steal your stuff if the door isn't locked. This happened with the family we were moving. Two guys stole the couches, and we had to get them back. It was a different experience for us, and a little bit scary.

The car was having problems, so we checked the engine. A plastic piece had fallen back and melted on the engine shaft. I took a picture. to show what it looks like. As we were leaving they tried to steal a portable heater out of the car. The members we were with took care of it though. Elder Pike and I are glad that this experience is over because it was really weird.
One of the best miracles this week was during contacting. We almost crossed a street to get to a bus stop, but turned instead. I was thinking about several things when I looked up to see someone walking towards us. I had a huge impression to talk to them, so I did. God prepares people to meet you. She was really interested in our message, and asked questions on Frelsesplanen and Jesu Kristi Evangelium. Elder Pike mentioned Mormons Bog, and she asked for one. Afterwards we couldn't believe that it happened because those contacts are so rare in Denmark. She texted us the next day, and said her teacher wants to contact us as well. Hopefully this will bring some good results.

We almost missed our bus to an eating appointment. Luckily we got on which was a miracle in itself. A few stops later this random lady sat by Elder Pike and asked where his companion was. He thought she was a member, and I had no clue who she was. She and her husband were here on vacation after he had business in The Netherlands. They were very happy to see us, and asked about our missions. They took a picture of us, and sent it to our families. It was great to meet them, and talk to them about missions and Denmark.
Elder Pike met Søren this week. Søren was really happy to see us. He came to church last week which was wonderful. It was nice to talk to him. I can understand most of what he says now compared to the little bit when I got here.
Everything this week has been great. Elder Pike has taught me so much. We gave out three Mormons Boger this week which is a record for me. Two new missionaries in our district: Elder Kennedy and Søster Hansen. Both of them are fresh out of the MTC. I am still the youngest by age. Elder Kennedy is about two months older than me.
| Eating Swedish fish from Uncle Tom and Aunt Debra. Thank you! |
A big thank you to Uncle Tom, Aunt Debra, Allison, and Sarah. I got the Christmas package, and absolutly loved everything. The swedish fish were wonderful, and such a treat for us here. Instead of rain everyday we have small snow storms.
| Nice and warm everyday! |
Things are working out for us. We are trying to stay warm here. It is amazing that my six month mark is this week. Dansk er den bedste sprog. The spirit really does guide the work here when we are faithful in all things.
Ældste Francis
