Mosiah 26:20‏ - January 4, 2016

P-Day fun.
"Thou art my servant; and I covenant with thee that thou shalt have eternal life; and thou shalt serve me and go forth in my name, and shalt gather together my sheep."

Everyone,

Fridag 1 Januar Klokken 00:30 - You think that you are in a bunker because of the number of explosion sounds outside your apartment. New years here was incredible. At midnight everyone toasts the new year, and jumps off of a chair. Ten minutes later the whole town is outside lighting fireworks. They say that the new year celebration in Denmark has more fireworks than the Fourth of July in the USA, and I believe that. They were everywhere. It was almost a competition of who had the best fireworks because all the neighbors were lighting them at the same time. I wish all of you could have been here for it.

Our district.
Other than that this has been a very spiritual week for me. We ate with a family in Mårum. They invited a refugee family whose apartment had lost power. It was great to meet them, and see that they were people just like us. Sometimes it is hard to love these people because we hear that the Danes don't like them here. This family was wonderful though, and it changed my perspective on the refugees.

We had two appointments with Martin this week. The first one was on the Holy Ghost, and the second was on faith. He has felt the Holy ghost in his life, and he shared his testimony with us. At the end of the lesson as I was sharing my testimony the Spirit told me to promise him some incredible things if he was baptized. I was on splits with Elder Milward, and he could feel the spirit as well. It was incredible and so strong in the room. Martin sat for a second, and brushed it off. I was so disappointed. We talked about it afterwards, and we don't know why he just moved past like it was nothing.

A government building in Copenhagen.
Sunday night before we went in for the day we taught Anne Marie. She was very happy to see us, and showed us her family history research. We helped with her tree, and Elder Halversen put in her morfars name. A match came up which was exactly perfect. He added it, and her tree exploded on one line. She was so happy for our help, and printed it out right then, so she could see. We had hit a deadpoint until then, so we are both very excited to press forward with her.

We met the Rosendahls this week. They are a family in the ward who moved to Allerød in July. We have a great relationship with them now. The sisters talked with Sister Rosendahl while Brother Rosendahl showed us his guns. Guns are rare in Denmark, so we loved looking at them. They gave us a referral in Blistrup which we will be contacting this week.

Just a thought: As you set goals see which Christlike attributes they help to develop.
Tell Baden Godt Fødselsdag for me. I hope he has a great day.

Godt Nytår,

Ældste Francis
