Fun road to knock

For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.

Dragør
Everyone,

I am not sure on where to start for this week. We have had lots of random fun adventures throughout the week. Before I get into all of that, all of the school kids look great. I can't believe that another school year has already started. As part of that I will hit my one year mark here in Danmark. We don't try to think about it, but it is a milestone for Elder Magleby and I here on Amager.

Dragør

Amager has been very nice. The weather has changed from hot to cold, but we love it. About half of the island is city. Part of that is houses, and the other part is apartment buildings.

First day in Denmark
We have 12 missionaries in our district. 1 couple, 8 elders, and 2 sisters. We are the only ones from Amager. The rest all go to the same ward in Frederiksberg. We get to the office about once a week, and I see Elder Curnow at district meeting. I love having Elder Magleby as my companion. He is such a wonderful example for me.

Fun time making dinner
You asked how close we are to Copenhagen. Most of our area is Copenhagen. We are the only missionaries in Denmark with a Copenhagen address. That is really fun.

Most of the cards I have to carry to say that I am legal

This week we got to stop by the dentist for Elder Magleby. He thought that part of his front tooth was missing, so the dentist had to take a look. We thought that it would be a good hour long thing, but it was rather short. His teeth are quite fine, and the dentist did it all for free. That was a special blessing as dentists here are rather expensive.

Us in Dragør

We spent a few evenings out in Dragør. Elder Magleby received a list of his cousins who live there, so we tried to contact a few. Sadly we came to the "Herring Day" festival. That means that nobody is home, and everyone is partying out on the docks. The night did bring success as we found out the correct address to the people we were looking for. That night we also had a dream come true. When you think of Denmark you think of small houses with thatched roofs. Well we found it. It is old town Dragør where Elder Maglebys great great great grandfather came from. We had our map out, and were trying to find the road. Turns out that the road looks more like an alley way than a road among the modern buildings. It was amazing to walk along it. The pictures will show you what it looks like.

A few highlighs of the week. We got back in contact with Stig. He isn't doing as well as I had hoped, but he is still trying to receive his answer on Mormons Bog. When we visited he was a little busy with dinner, so
we have set up a new appointment for this week. Jim and Jenny answered us, so we will be visiting with them sometime this week. Both of these are special blessings because we haven't been able to meet with any of them for a long time.

Us with William
Friday evening and Saturday morning we had a mini missionary with us. His name is William, and he was from the Gladsaxe area. He is only fourteen, so he stayed in Albertslund for the night. He did studies with us early the next morning, and went finding as well. It was so much fun to be with him. His excitement for the work really helped me. We did a mini zone conference for all of the mini missionaries. At the end we did a role play on using scriptures in our teaching. He did such a great job. I was amazed at his spiritual strength, and his willingness to work with us.
Dragør
Our mission has been working on member work. This week we saw some of the fruits of that. Our relationship with the members has been getting stronger. We had an appointment with the branch president and his wife. It was a wonderful time filled with the spirit and good food. We also met with Søren and Else Krag in our ward. Søren has been very sick, and is now unable to get out much. The whole time was spent talking about missonary work. They gave usa refferal as well! It may sound simple, but for us here on Amager it was a big step.
MTC day
Good luck with everything at home, and with all of the school kids. Everyone have lots of fun at home.
I love you all.

Elder Francis
