Mosiah 16:8 - April 17, 2017

But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.

Everyone,

It has been a special week in Horsens, but also a week of change.

The big news first. Forrest got baptized, and it was amazing. The Spirit was incredible during the meeting. Once we finished the closing prayer Forrest jumped up and shared his testimony to everyone. He gave a powerful testimony of how he knew this was right. We had lots of success there. Irma came, and felt the Spirit. He said that he felt that this was the place that he needed to be. That was wonderful to hear (He came to church yesterday, and Elder Gardner gave him a tie. He (Irma) made the comment that he would be wearing it more often). Camille came to the baptism as well. She is still a little skeptical, but is thinking about all of it a little more seriously. Wille is a referral from Ã…rhus, and he was there as well. He had a great time as well.

Mosiah 4:10 - April 10, 2017

And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins andforsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and askin sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them.

Everyone,

It has been a wonderful week with many miracles here in Horsens. The biggest one was with Forrest. The Sisters had a lesson with him, and we watched the talk by Elder Costa of the Seventy. The Spirit was really strong. It made it perfect because immediantly afterwards I interviewed him for baptism. He is prepared for this step. At church yesterday he was so excited to be able to get baptized. His baptism is the Wednesday the 12 of April.

Alma 37:40 - April 3, 2017

And it did work for them according to their afaith in God; therefore, if they had faith to believe that God could cause that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold, it was done; therefore they had this miracle, and also many other miracles wrought by the power of God, day by day.

Everyone,

It was a great week here in Horsens with Elder Gardner and I.

Irma is a good friend of Forrest, and this week we taught him with Forrest. During our discussion he mentioned several things that he has learned recently which have helped him to believe that their is a God. It was a different lesson for me because Irma was telling us about gospel principles that he was started to have in his life except he didn't know that they were apart of the gospel. Forrest was a great help, and he will be a great support as we continue to teach Irma.

2 Nephi 13:4 - March 27, 2017

Beautiful Danmark
And I will give children unto them to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

Everyone,

We have had lots of fun here in Horsens. There are so many people that we have talked to about the gospel. One of the best parts was yesterday. We met two Americans here both of whom have been in Denmark for about 25 years (I think that when Americans meet Americans here then everyone gets a little happier). They weren't that religious, but one of them got excited when we gave him a Book of Mormon. He said that he had read the Bible once, and our book sounded like a great story. I was a great contact for us.

Mosiah 28:3 - March 20, 2017

Our chili plant!
Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble.

Spring is almost here!
Everyone,

To start of this weeks email I want to give a big shoutout to my brother Sam who got his mission call to Sweden. I am so excited for him. I have seen Sweden many times across the water while serving here in Denmark, and now he gets to serve over there.

The Gagade here in Horsens - the widest in Denmark.
(Mother's Note: Sam woke up at 2am and emailed back and forth with Ben for about an hour to share the exciting news! A fun brother-to-brother chat.)

Moroni 8:25, 26 - March 13, 2017

Amazing Sunrise

25 And the first fruits of repentance is baptism; and baptism cometh by faith unto the fulfilling the commandments; and the fulfilling the commandments bringeth remission of sins;
26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, whichComforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall come, when all the saints shall dwell with God.

Here is a picture of my district. Elder Yates is taking the picture, and his wife Sister Yates is with the Sisters. This district is for Fredericia ward and Horsens ward.
Everyone,

We had a fun week in Horsens. This is a great city to serve in, and the ward is amazing.

1 Nephi 10:17 - March 6, 2017

Karen Darre with me
17 And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all thewords of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of theHoly Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.

Everyone,

It was my last week in Randers, but now I am in Horsens. The Danish LegoLand is in my area. I am companions with Elder Gardner who is one transfer older than me, and has been in Horsens for two transfers already.
At the Randers church building

We met with several members this week for eating appointments. It was nice because then I could say goodbye to everyone. Stake Conference was yesterday, and it was a regional conference for northern Europe (Ireland, England, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland). I think that was everyone watching the broadcast.
