Everyone,

The Christmas initiative is amazing! Oplys Verden - Light the World I am so excited to continue using it in our work. We got it last week, and started using it immediately.

This is such a great tool that we have this year, and I am so glad to use it here in Denmark. A little side note. Light in Danish is lys. Instead of lys they used oplys. This makes is mean both light the world, but also fill the world with light. One of the members pointed that out to me when we ate with them the day it came out.

Everyone,

We had a great week here in Randers. Cina and Sara are two of our newest investigators. Sara is 10, and has been asking her mom why they don't attend church. We knocked on the door about 2 weeks ago, and we got to teach them this week. It was so exciting. They are very prepared to hear the gospel. Our lesson was wonderful, and at the end they both accepted a Book of Mormon.

This meal is not Danish...

Tina met with us this week as well. She met the missionaries 20 years ago, and hasn't seen them since. She knows a few things about our beliefs, but did have a few questions for us. We taught about prayer, and how we came to know that the church is true. She beleives in the apostacy, but not that the Restoration has occured. At the end she committed to pray to find out if what we taught was true.

We had splits with Århus this week. Elder Perkins and Elder Preece came up here to work with us in Randers. I got to go with Elder Perkins who is my district leader, and he was also from my MTC group. We had such a fun time together. Looking back, the last time that we went on splits was about 7 months ago. Both of us have changed quite a lot. The biggest area we noticed was our Danish. Both of us spoke back and forth with little to no problem all in Danish. It was so much fun.

Everyone, 

We are officially in the cold season now here in Randers. Last night it started snowing, and it has continued throughout most of today. At least to right now when we are emailing. It hasn't stuck to the ground, but it is all over the cars. I don't know what the temperture reads, but with the wind chill we have had to break out our thermals.

Church in Randers

Everyone,

We had a zone conference this week with Elder and Sister Johnson from the area presidency. It was the best four hours of this whole week for me. We learned about the improtance of teaching, members, and using commitments. Elder Johnson also taught us that obediance can change things. Specifically when teaching a group of obediant missionaries. That took up most of Thursday becuase it is down in Århus.

Most of our lessons this week were finding lessons. One man was from Connecticut. He was planning a trip to the Western US with Vegas and the Grand Canyon. We talked about that for a bit, and then he asked us why we were here. It was the perfect opportunity to share the gospel with him. At the end of a great discussion he said that he wasn't really interested. It was really sad, but it is one persen closer to finding the one who is ready.

Everyone,

This week has gone really well for us. Things are starting to pick up again.

I think that I will start with the less spiritual stuff. That way the spirit can come back by the end. We took an essential p-day last week because we had an activity Saturday. Eric and I have become great friends due to our similair hobby of model trains. He took us this week to a display down in Hadsten. It was so much fun. We had a great time there, and I took a few pictures for everyone at home to see.
